A downloadable game for Windows

Suburbia Electronica is an adventure game about kindness, love, and all things that could make a robot's heart glow just a bit softer.

Suburbia Electronica is a solo, wholesome adventure of around 15 hours for PC and consoles. The game tells the story of a little robot looking for the definition of happiness in American suburbia.

Explore, meet the inhabitants of this quirky community and solve little quests. The information you gathered will help the robot construct her own mental representation of her world, through a special interface that we call the sociogram. As the robot gets to know her neighbors, she will learn to know herself and then maybe find her own definition of happiness.

We started working on Suburbia Electronica in the context of our end of studies projects of the Master of Digital Games and Interactive Media (JMIN), at the National School of Digital Games and Interactive Media (ENJMIN)As a team of 9 students and during 4 months, our goal was to create a Vertical Slice (not the full game!) aiming at proving the feasibility and appeal of our game concept !

There's something wrong with controls on both keyboard and controller. On a keyboard, once I interact with anything, the game stops responding to any input. And with the controller, dialogue options are sometimes unclickable, so I'm getting stuck both ways.

Hi, thanks for checking out Suburbia Electronica and for your feedback.
We are sorry to hear you are having issues with the controls, we are aware that the game is not entirely playable with a controller, as you pointed out. Nevertheless, you can play through the vertical slice using the keyboard in combination with the mouse. Once you interact with something with the keyboard you can advance by clicking through the dialogues with the mouse.
I hope this helps you!
We know it's not an ideal experience, but I would like to point out that Suburbia Electronica was developed as a student project, which we used to experiment with different approaches and input systems. This left the result in an unfinished state.

Thanks again! Wish you a great time.
